Gaborone, Botswana – 10 October 2025:
Zotus City Development Group (ZCDG), the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), and the Trans-Kalahari Corridor Secretariat (TKC) have signed a landmark partnership agreement to strengthen regional trade, promote investment, and position Zotus City as a leading logistics and smart economic hub within Southern Africa.
The signing took place during the Pula Global Expo 2025 in Gaborone, where Mr. Anthony Sefako, Chief Operations Officer of BITC, Mr. Leslie Mpofu, Executive Director of TKC, and Mr. Davison Simango, Founder and CEO of Zotus Group International, formally executed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
The partnership integrates Zotus City, located at Junction 44 in the Ghanzi District, into the Trans-Kalahari Corridor, which connects Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa through a vital trade and logistics network. The collaboration will enhance the movement of goods, streamline cross-border operations, and attract new industrial and logistics investments under Botswana’s Special Economic Zone (SEZ) framework.
BITC will drive investor facilitation and policy coordination to ensure ease of doing business, while TKC will strengthen corridor connectivity and logistics planning to boost regional competitiveness.
Speaking after the signing, Mr. Davison Simango said:
“This partnership solidifies Botswana’s role as a regional logistics powerhouse. By aligning public and private sector strengths through BITC and TKC, Zotus City will serve as the hub connecting Southern Africa’s trade corridors. The next phase is to expand these linkages globally, beginning with Asia.”
The agreement underscores a shared commitment to advancing Botswana’s position as a gateway for trade, logistics, and innovation in Africa.
